Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Unveils New Branding and Website
Taking inspiration from its coastal surroundings and modernized tenant mix, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre has announced the launch of its refreshed brand and website at mtpleasanttownecentre.com. The Wilbert Group designed the website, while sky design created the logo and branding.
The most notable change in the logo is the addition of the Gardenia, a fragrant flower abundantly found throughout Charleston. The Centre chose this symbol to represent the brand because of its location in the heart of Mount Pleasant and connection to the local community. Updated fonts and colors are also integrated throughout the website, with hues of pink and shades of blue to tie into the coastal theme.
“Mount Pleasant Towne Centre has welcomed a variety of new retailers and restaurants in the past few years, so we wanted to update the shopping destination’s online presence to match our refreshed tenant mix,” said Belinda Torres, Corporate Marketing Director of Continental Realty Corporation.
The redesigned website is more user-friendly with large, vibrant images so that guests can more easily find what they’re looking for. The updated interactive directory map not only allows for users to get a full view of the property, but they can also click on the individual stores and restaurants to pull up a corresponding description. The Gardenia emblem is set in the corner and blooms once clicked to display the full navigation menu for the website.
The Towne Centre has welcomed a number of new tenants, most recently Little Palmetto Pearl, A Beaufort Bonnet Company Signature Store and Malika, a Pakistani street food restaurant. CAVA, a Mediterranean chef-casual restaurant, is set to open this year in the former Zoë’s Kitchen space. Other recent additions include high-end athletic retailers, lululemon and Peloton, and upscale Italian restaurant, Savi Cucina + Wine Bar.
Continental Realty Corporation (CRC) purchased the 510,000-square-foot retail destination in February 2020 as part of its Continental Realty Fund, a $210.8 million private equity fund focused on retail and multifamily properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. The real estate company recently expanded its South Carolina portfolio further with the $28.25 million acquisition of The Six Apartments, a 92-unit community located at 2170 Snyder Circle in Mount Pleasant.
