Carolina Children’s Charity to host Annual Oyster Roast Benefiting Local Kids

On Thursday, February 24th, Carolina Children’s Charity will partner with Water’s Edge (1407 Shrimp Boat Lane on Shem Creek) for their 10th Annual Oyster Roast. The event includes live and silent auctions to benefit Lowcountry children with birth defects and childhood diseases.

The oyster roast is family-friendly and will be held at the restaurant’s Cabana Bar from 5 pm to 8 pm. Tickets are $20 if purchased in advance and $25 on the day of. Children 12 and under are free. Tickets include: all-you-can-eat oysters, BBQ, Lowcountry Boil and more. There will be a cahs bar with happy hour deals from 4 pm to 7 pm. Plus, Jamison Alley will perform. 

Carolina Children’s Charity was formed in 1987 to help local children diagnosed with a birth defect or childhood disease access items and services that are deemed medically beneficial or medically necessary. Through the years, the charity has provided more than 4.6 million dollars to special needs children in our community. Through grants provided by the charity, children have had the opportunity and support to learn to walk, talk, eat and play.
