Press Release

The good times at the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet will continue with two of the most popular events on the Hammock Coast’s winter calendar – Taste of the MarshWalk and MarshWalk Restaurant Week.

The second annual MarshWalk Restaurant Week will be held Feb. 21-25, allowing people to enjoy three-course menus for just $35 at eight participating restaurants. Diners will have their choice of MarshWalk restaurants, including Wicked Tuna, Creek Ratz, Drunken Jack’s, Mojo’s, Wahoo’s Fish House, Dead Dog Saloon, The Claw House and Bovine’s.

Participating restaurants will have preset menus, including a soup or salad, appetizer and an entrée, showcasing the culinary talents of some of South Carolina’s best chefs.

Taste of the MarshWalk, an outdoor festival, will be held Feb. 26 and 27, allowing people to sample food from the eight-member MarshWalk restaurants while enjoying stunning scenery and live music along the tidal inlet.

“Delicious Lowcountry cuisine is on the menu here on the Hammock Coast,” said Mark A. Stevens, director of tourism development for the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. “The award-winning and talented chefs found on the MarshWalk know how to make diners happy — be it with a great steak or a sumptuous seafood dish.

“Dining on the MarshWalk is always special, and Restaurant Week and Taste of the MarshWalk are just extra-special ways for the public to experience everything the eight-member restaurants have to offer.”

Located in the heart of the historic fishing village of Murrells Inlet, the MarshWalk is a half-mile wooden boardwalk along a natural saltwater estuary. The MarshWalk proudly boasts spectacular waterfront dining, set against one of nature’s most beautiful stage shows.

Comprised of six coastal communities – Garden City, Murrells Inlet, Litchfield, Pawleys Island, Georgetown and Andrews – in Georgetown County, South Carolina’s Hammock Coast® is the destination of choice for savvy golfers. Located to the south of Myrtle Beach and just north of Charleston, the Hammock Coast offers the best of both destinations in a more casual environment.
