Mullet Haul Trail Run Set for April 23rd at Johns Island County Park

Charleston County Parks invites runners and walkers of all experience levels to hit the trails at the annual Mullet Haul Trail Run on Saturday, April 23rd at Johns Island County Park. The race features both a 5K and a 10K.

“The Mullet Haul is a trail runner’s dream with varied terrain and the picturesque backdrop of Johns Island County Park. There is always something new to see,” said Allison Foster, Charleston County Parks’ fitness and wellness manager.

Registration for the Mullet Haul Trail Run is open now through April 18th at CharlestonCountyParks.com. Fees are $38 for the 5K and $42 for the 10K race. There will be no race day registration. Both races will begin at 8:30 am on April 23rd.

An award ceremony with food and beverages will be held immediately after the race. Water stations will be available on the course, but pre-filled, personal water bottles are highly recommended.

The Mullet Haul is for ages 10 and older. Participants ages 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. The course offers occasional areas of uneven terrain and varies from hard-packed trails with roots to grass.

Johns Island County Park is located at 2662 Mullet Hall Road (off of River Road). The park is also home to Mullet Hall Equestrian Center, a disc golf course, an archery range, a 3D archery course, and a new off-leash dog park.
