Taylor Music Group Presents a St. Patrick’s Day Variety Show in Downtown Charleston
The Taylor Music Group (TMG), a leading Charleston arts organization focused on the blending of classical and folk music, announces its annual popular St. Patrick’s Day Variety Show on Thursday, March 17th at 7:30 pm at Circular Congregational Church (150 Meeting Street). Featuring the Taylor Family (Rob, Mary and Kiri Taylor), Bart Saylor, Jim Carrier, Abby Kent, and others, the Variety Show concert will feature toe-tapping jigs and reels and heart-pounding airs in celebration of Ireland’s favorite holiday.
Tickets for the March 17th concert can be purchased at www.taylormusicgroup.org. Admission is $35 preferred seating, $25 general seating, $10 student. Safety protocols in place for COVID-19 include masks worn by all performers, staff, and audience members.
“Since I was a child listening to Irish music in my home and going to church with my parents, St. Patrick’s Day has been an incredibly important celebration in my life,” said Mary Taylor, founding director of Na Fidleiri Reimagined. “My husband Rob and I are always so excited to put together a new collection of Irish songs to present to the Charleston community on this special day. We plan to give our audience some of their perennial musical favorites, but we also have some fresh surprises in store as well.”
