Charleston County Announces “Freedom Fridays” at South Carolina Stingrays Home Games
Representatives from the Charleston County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will attend South Carolina Stingrays home games on Fridays to help residents register to vote, verify registration, update addresses and photo IDs, and signup poll workers.
Residents can find the voter registration table in section 104/106 on the following Fridays:
- March 4th
- March 11th
- March 25th
- April 1st
- April 8th
On April 8th, the Board of Elections and South Carolina Stingrays will host a poll worker appreciation night for those who have worked as poll workers during previous elections.
“We’re really excited about this opportunity with the Stingrays,” said Board of Elections Director Isaac Cramer. “There’s no better way to celebrate freedom than to make sure our residents are ready to vote.”
Additionally, the Board of Elections needs poll workers for the Primary Election in June. Poll managers will receive $135 for the day and clerks will received $195.
Qualifications:
- Must be a registered voter in South Carolina or aged 16 or 17
- Be willing and able to complete and pass an Online Training Course AND attend an In-Person Poll Worker Training Session (1-2 hours) before EACH election.
- Be prepared to work the ENTIRE Election Day, from 6 am until approximately 7:30 pm
- Be non-partisan and neutral when working an election.
