Local Nonprofit to Host 5th Annual Love Your Neighbor Auction

Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach will host its 25th annual Love Your Neighbor Auction, presented by Kathy and Joe Tronco, on April 3rd, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Charleston Marriott Hotel located at 170 N. Lockwood Blvd. Guests will enjoy an open bar, heavy brunch-style hors d’oeuvres and live music while bidding on silent and live auction leisure and luxury items ranging from exclusive art pieces, spa experiences, wine tastings, restaurant packages, travel excursions, as well as products and services from local businesses in the community. Featured items include a Charleston Place two-night staycation getaway, a coveted Spoleto Festival USA performance, a dinner at Indaco for four with specialized wine pairings, a HydraFacial spa experience and a private shopping experience at the Ibu Movement showroom for the winner and 14 friends. 

All proceeds of this event will go toward Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach’s mission to build equitable communities and empower individuals to reach their full potential by providing basic and emergency needs, education, employment and health services in over 11 zip codes spanning Downtown Charleston to Edisto Island.

“The auction is our most critical fundraiser of the year. The money raised from the auction will strengthen our capacity to help neighbors in need through our newly expanded programs and service areas. Since the need in the surrounding areas has increased, we have expanded from five to 11 zip code areas to make sure individuals and families are not left behind, and ultimately, can improve their quality of life.” says Ericka Plater, executive director of Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach.
