UPDATE: 6th Annual Lip Sync For Lungs at the Firefly Distillery Moved to Sunday

UPDATE on 3/9/22: Due to expected inclement weather, organizers have decided to move this event to Sunday, March 13th and will shift the schedule of events up by one hour. On Thursday, March 10th, four Charleston celebrities will showcase their lip sync talents to raise money to support lung health programs, advocacy and research, including COVID-19, at the 6^th annual Lip Sync For Lungs-Lipstock Edition at the Firefly Distillery in North Charleston.

The annual Lip Sync For Lungs event features four local celebrities performing lip sync and dance routines in an epic show-down to win the title of Lip Sync Battle Champion. This year’s celebration will be held outdoors at Firefly Distillery with a festival theme complete with food trucks and artisan vendors.

This year’s local celebrity performers are:

• Mary Welch Fox Stasik, Host of HGTV’s Breaking Bland
• Kyle “K’Otic” Johnson
• Chris McCoy, “DJ Rehab”
• Savannah Simmons, PR Director with Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Specialists of South Carolina

In addition to the live performances, attendees will also see pre-taped videos featuring lip sync efforts from your favorite local celebrities and hosted by Geoff Richardson and Ryan Becknell. This year’s live celebrity judges include Zandrina Dunning, David Hast, and Mike Seekings.

General Admission tickets are $40 in advance or $55 at the gate. Firefly Distillery can be found at 4201 Spruill Ave. in North Charleston.

Money raised through Lip Sync For Lungs funds the Lung Association’s efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the organization’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. The COVID-19 Action Initiative is an investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics. The initiative works with public and private entities to increase research collaboration and develop new vaccines, detection tests and treatment therapies.
