Author Karen White is Starting a “Tradd Street” Series Spin-Off

Of all her successful books, Karen White’s Charleston-set Tradd Street series is easily her most popular, and they have a nationwide fan base that expands far beyond the Holy City. Now, fifteen years and eight books later, Karen is starting a spin-off series that begins with The Shop on Royal Street, which comes out on March 29th.

Nola Trenholm is looking for a fresh start in New Orleans, and her future looks bright when she buys a historic fixer upper. But once the keys are in hand, she finds that this construction job is going to require a lot more than anticipated. There are a bunch of restless spirits that don’t seem quite ready to move out of their previous home.

Nola isn’t a medium like her stepmother, but luckily, she happens to know someone who is. Unfortunately, it’s the last person on earth she wants to have anything to do with again: Beau Ryan. With his own dark past and connections to the unsolved murder of a woman who once lived in the house Nola now owns, Beau may be more complicated than he’s worth. But Nola is determined to make a living in New Orleans and make the old Creole cottage her own…whether the resident spirits like it or not.

The start of a new series promises brand new characters, adventures, and fun, but Tradd Street lovers will also be glad to see old storylines revisited in White’s hilarious and witty new series. The Shop on Royal Street is the perfect spring book for lovers of lighthearted mysteries with a generous helping of laughs along the way.

White will be in Charleston this spring to meet her fans. Buxton Books is hosting a luncheon and signing on March 31st.
