Herd Provisions Launching Dinner Series to Support Ukraine through World Central Kitchen
“The attempted occupation of Ukraine by Russia has hit home hard at Herd Provisions,” said owner Alec Bradford. “We have friends in-country and have been receiving first-hand accounts of what friends and families are living with day to day as the blundering war destroys the lives and livelihoods of millions of people. Like everyone else, we are horrified by what we see on the screens in front of us. It is easy to feel helpless in such times, and helpless is no way to feel if it can be avoided. So, after talking to people who would know, we have decided to use the proceeds of our sales this Saturday evening to donate to World Central Kitchen, who are feeding internally displaced refugees, soldiers (military and civilian) and the refugees who have fled Ukraine into Poland, Moldova, and Romania. This is the first of a series of dinners Herd will be hosting to support our friends who find themselves lacking the resources we take for granted”
Local food and agriculture program, GrowFood will be donating produce for Herd’s upcoming fundraising dinner.
Guests can make reservations prior to Saturday on Resy. Patrons are encouraged to donate to World Central Kitchen if possible by clicking here.
Herd Provisions is located at 106 Grove Street.
