Rep. Mace Statement on President Zelenskyy’s Address to Congress

“Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy joins a rare group of world leaders such as Winston Churchill, Benyamin Netanyahu, Nelson Mandela, and Pope Francis who have addressed joint sessions of Congress. The bravery and leadership Zelenskyy has shown has inspired the world. The courage of the Ukrainian people against Putin’s unprovoked and illegal war sends a clear message to the world that Ukraine will not be defeated. Congress has led the way in support for Ukraine including approving broad sanctions and $13.4 billion in assistance and lethal aid against Putin’s illegal and indefensible invasion of Ukraine. The U.S. and our NATO allies will never waiver in our support for Ukraine. We will deliver economic and humanitarian assistance, and we will continue our support for defensive measures.”
