Rep. Deon Tedder Files for Re-election to South Carolina State House
State Representative Deon Tedder (D-North Charleston) filed for re-election on Wednesday in North Charleston.
Tedder, an attorney, was first elected in 2020. During his freshman term, he’s filed legislation to provide for same day voter registration, empower towns and municipalities to create more affordable housing, and he passed a bill designating the third Tuesday of February as “Historically Black Colleges & Universities Day.” He currently serves on the Invitations and Memorial Resolutions Committee and the Medical, Military, Public and Municipal Affairs Committee.
“I am grateful that District 109 elected me two years ago,” Tedder said. “Now, I ask for your support again as I continue to fight for attainable housing, public education, and criminal justice reform!”
South Carolina residents can register to vote at scvotes.gov. The general election will be on Tuesday, November 8th.
