Gracie & Lacy to Present “Jazz The Final Frontier” at Forte Jazz Lounge

On April 9th at Forte Jazz Lounge, Gracie & Lacy and the Forte Band explore strange new worlds. To seek out new vibes and new syncopations. To boldly go where no jazz musician has gone before! Don’t miss this evening of jazz-ified pop and space-themed hits inspired by the moon, the stars…and even Mars. Trekkies, be ready for some Star Trek Trivia and humor!
Gracie & Lacy will present musical selections they performed for NASA’s Apollo 11 Crew 50th anniversary at the Kennedy Space Center, as well as astronaut wake-up songs, Space Race hits, and their never-heard-before original song, “Mars.”
The evening will be emceed by actor and comedian Jonathan Dickson who has appeared on TV show 30 Rock and Boardwalk Empire, as well as the locally-filmed movie, The Notebook. The band will feature Nolan Tecklenburg on keys, John F. Kennedy on bass, Josh Hoover on drums, Jon Phillips on sax, Bill McSweeney on trombone, and Brian Bohannon on trumpet.
