Katie’s Krops Launches Seeds of Change Program for the Third Year
Katie’s Krops today announced they are launching The Seeds of Change program for its third year. The program sends free seeds to families in the United States and Canada to help provide their communities with fresh produce.
The organization says it is their hope that this program will continue to “inspire individuals and families to learn to love gardening, being good stewards to the Earth, and helping their neighbors in need gain access to healthy, fresh produce.”
In 2020, Katie’s Krops launched the Seeds of Change program to support families in quarantine across the United States and Canada. The program has shared seeds with thousands of individuals and families since it began.
“Gardening is such an important life skill to have, and there are so many lessons to be learned from the garden,” said Katie Stagliano, the founder and chief executive gardener of Katie’s Krops. “I am excited that we are able to provide an outlet for many individuals and families while also helping to ensure those who need it most gain access to healthy, fresh produce with our Seeds of Change program. I love hearing from Seeds of Change recipients how much they learn from growing their own produce and the good they are able to do with it!”
Requests for seeds can be made at https://katieskrops.com/seeds-of-change. There is no cost to receive the seeds and requests will be filled as soon as possible after they are received. Seeds can also be picked up at Costal Coffee Roasters in Summerville.
