Freshfields Village Announces Several Free Spring Events
Spring has sprung on Kiawah Island and Freshfields Village is celebrating with several free events. Below is a full list of events taking place this April and May.- Shag Night on the Dock
- April 5th, repeats every Tuesday in April & May, 6-8pm

Are you a shag dance pro wanting to dust off your dancing shoes? Or are you new to the area and want to learn the basic steps to the official dance of South Carolina? Head to the Lakeside Dock to enjoy beach music tunes perfect for shagging
- Cars & Coffee
- April 16th and May 21st (repeats every third Saturday of the month for the whole year), 9-11am

com/event/cars-coffee-april- 2022/ - Arrive in your favorite ride or stop by the Village Green at Freshfields Village to browse unique, antique and other cool cars at the monthly Cars & Coffee. Coffee and breakfast will be available for purchase at Java Java. The event will take place the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9 to 11 am
- Sidewalk Saturdays
- April 16 & May 21, 10am-6pm

com/event/sidewalk-saturday- april-2022/ - Join Freshfields Village this spring for Sidewalk Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm on April 16 and May 21. The event will feature sidewalk sales, new merchandise, gifts with purchase, in-store events and more at participating retailers and restaurants. Stroll through the Village to enjoy the fresh air and much needed retail therapy. Plan a stop at one of the restaurants for a caffeine fix, quick bite of lunch, happy hour cocktail or post shopping dinner
- Spring Music on the Green
- April 15 & May 27, 6-9 pm

com/event/spring-concert-2022/ - Celebrate the arrival of spring with a special Music on the Green concert on Friday, April 15th from 6 to 9 pm. Head to the Village Green at Freshfields Village for a complimentary, outdoor concert featuring The Andy Masker Band. Guests are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets as the center welcomes back one of its favorite events. Music on the Green will return this summer every Friday from May 27 through September 2
- Blues by the Sea
- April 24, 4-7 pm

com/event/blues-by-the-sea- 2022/ - Join Freshfields Village for the 16th Annual Blues by the Sea on Sunday, April 24 from 4 to pm. Head to the Village Green for a complimentary blues show for the entire family. From 4 to 5:15 pm enjoy Alabama Mike with Skyler Saufley & The 99th Degree, a superlative modern blues singer backed by one of the hottest new traditional blues bands of the deep central South. From 5:30 to 7 pm listen to Shawn Holt & The Teardrops as they showcase floor-pounding Chicago shuffles and heavy city blues from the son of the legendary Magic Slim (aka Morris Holt). Guests are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets. The event will take place rain or shine under the tent on the Village Green. Sponsored by the Cultural Evens Fund of the Town of Kiawah.
