Blessing of The Fleet & Seafood Festival Scheduled for April 24th

The annual Blessing of the Fleet & Seafood Festival will take place on Sunday, April 24th at Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park. 

The festival pays tribute to Mount Pleasant’s local shrimping and fishing industry and features:

• A boat parade
• Ceremonial blessing of the shrimp/fishing fleet
• Live music
• Craft show
• Seafood samplings sold by local restaurants
• Shag dancing
• Shrimp-eating contests
• Family-friendly activities

Admission, parking, and activities are free. The festival runs from 11 am until 6 pm. Once the parking lot fills up, attendees can utilize a free shuttle services.
