BCLS Announces Poetry Contest Winners

Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) on Thursday announced the 1st, 2^nd & 3^rd Place winners in three separate categories from their Poetry Contest. Poets of various ages and interests joined the BCLS staff on Friday, April 1st, 2022 for the Poetry Reading/Open Mic Event and read their poems.

The winners are:

CHILDREN

1^st Place Kai Cronin – Books

2^nd Place John Cronin – How to Slide in Baseball

3^rd Place Eloise Brauchler – Two Horses

YOUTH

1^st Place – Isabella Weikal – Hope

2^nd Place – Emelia Potter – God Guides Me

3^rd  Place – Sarah Guille – Ode to the Broken Bathtub

ADULT

1^st Place – Jacqueline Adams – Through the Eyes of a Foster Parent

2^nd Place – Lydia Potter – A Nature Walk

3^rd Place – Andrea Fletcher– Lost in a Book
