City of Charleston to Host Job Fair on April 20th at the Gaillard Center
The City of Charleston is hosting a Job Fair on April 20th, 2022 at the Gaillard Center, from 12 pm to 4 pm. Over 20 booths will have representatives from a variety of City departments and divisions ready to share specific information about what they do for the City. Department staff will also offer on-the-spot interviews for vacant positions.
Here are some details from the City:
Job seekers who have a current resume should consider bringing it to the Job Fair.
The City currently has 80 full-time and part-time job openings and over 100 seasonal job openings.
Full-and part-time jobs include class A or B CDL operators, groundskeepers, recreation specialists, tree maintenance technicians and trades technicians, among others.
Seasonal job openings are available for summer camps, the Charleston Tennis Center and city pools, including jobs as recreation leaders, tennis instructors and lifeguards. Those applicants must be 16-years-old by May 30th.
There are also seasonal internships available for youth or college-aged students interested in working 20-hours a week for eight weeks. Candidates must be 15-years-old by May 30th.
There will be computers on site for anyone interested in filling out a job application during the fair, as well as raffle giveaways.
