Enough Pie to Host Earth Day Celebration at Butterfly Book Nook

In honor of Earth Day, Enough Pie is partnering with several local organizations to host its inaugural celebration at the Butterfly Book Nook located at 1020 King Street. The day-long event begins at 10 am and is free to the public.

Th event will include many activities, aiming to collectively engage the community in an eco-friendly celebration. Participating organizations include: Charleston Climate Coalition, Palmetto Artisan Program, ECDC, Black Parent Association, John L. Dart Library, Reading Partners, Charleston City Parks and Recreation, and the City of Charleston Police Department. Activities for the day include gardening workshops, seed planting, story time, a jump castle, and a dance session. There will also be food, music, and more.

The Butterfly Book Nook will be a featured stop during Charleston Climate Coalition’s Tour de Earth Day, where participants will learn about native plants and environmental threats surrounding the garden space and the surrounding area. Participants and community attendees will be able to sample tea made from local plants in the garden space as well as have the opportunity to learn about sustainable and local harvesting practices.
