Charleston AMA Spark! Awards Submissions Are Open

Are you at the helm of awesome creative design, killer video content, or crazy social media engagement? Whether you are a marketing agency, nonprofit, restaurant, small business, or creative professional, it’s time to showcase your work that sparked success at the 2022 Spark! Awards. 

The Spark! Awards is the only awards event in the Lowcountry that honors excellence in creative and marketing talent, hosted by the Charleston American Marketing Association, a nonprofit organization on a mission to inspire, connect and elevate Charleston’s local marketing community. 

The 2022 Spark! Awards feature 20 categories focused in social media, influencer/affiliate marketing, public relations, product marketing, video marketing, outdoor marketing, event marketing, logo design, illustration, website design, digital advertising, print advertising, and more. 

“Creative and marketing individuals are the ones behind the scenes working to uplift local businesses and organizations, and play a major role in business success. We are so lucky that Charleston is bursting at the seams with this amazing creative talent. The Spark! Awards is an opportunity to celebrate and recognize that hard work,” said Emily Trogdon, president-elect of Charleston AMA. 

“We’ve revamped the categories to reflect a larger scope of marketing and creative, and we’ve stepped up our game for this year’s awards event which we hope everyone will enjoy.” 

How to Submit 

Submissions for the 2022 Spark! Awards will be open from April 11 – July 1, 2022. There will be no submission deadline extension. 

All submissions for the 2022 Spark! Awards must be from creative projects and campaigns completed from January 1 – December 31, 2021. 

Charleston AMA members receive up to three submissions for free, and $40 per submission after. Submissions for non-members are $50. Anyone in the Charleston Tri-County area is eligible to submit. 

Finalists for each category will be selected and announced in July and category winners will be announced at the awards event on September 21, 2022.

Marketer of the Year, The Giving Award, and Chapter Volunteer of the Year The Spark! Awards also honors individuals and companies that have gone above and beyond to serve and inspire their fellow marketing community and the Charleston community at large with Marketer of the Year, The Giving Award, and Chapter Volunteer of the Year. Nominations for these awards are free of charge. 

It’s Time to Tiki! Save the Date for the Spark! Awards event on September 21 The 2022 Spark! Awards celebration will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at Harborside East. This party will bring Summer to a close with tropical Tiki vibes, food, drinks, live entertainment, networking, and a showcase of award finalists’ submissions as we announce winners. 

This event is not just for finalists. Any and all Charleston marketing, creative and business professionals are invited to attend and celebrate. Tickets will go on sale July 2022.
