SC Works Trident to Host Disability Expo and Job Fair
The event, which aims to remove barriers to employment for job-seekers facing additional challenges, will feature representatives from top regional employers, including Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Lowes Food, Knights Companies, Cintas Corporation, Medical University of South Carolina, Palmetto Goodwill, 7-Eleven, Dial America, and Thorne.
“Increasing access to employment is critical to our mission at SC Works Trident,” said Sharon Goss, Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments Workforce Development Director. “In collaboration with our partners, this expo focuses on breaking down barriers for job-seekers facing additional challenges, in order to help get them on a path toward gainful employment.”
In addition to regional employers, several community resource organizations, including SC Vocational Rehabilitation, AccessAbility, SC Commission For The Blind and SC Department of Social Services, will be on-hand to provide important information and assistance to attendees.
