Multiple Charleston Businesses Honored in Forbes Travel Guide’s 2022 Star Awards

Forbes Travel Guide (FTG) recently included multiple Holy City establishments in its “2022 Star Awards,” which honor the world’s most outstanding hotels, restaurants and spas.

For the 64th annual list, FTG says their “incognito inspectors” pose as ordinary guests. They then “test up to 900 objective, rigorous standards, from modern-day luxuries.” Based on those standards, the following Charleston area businesses were honored:

• Five-Star Ratings
  • “These are outstanding, often iconic properties with virtually flawless service and amazing facilities”
    • The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island Golf Resort
    • The Spa at The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island
• Four-Star Ratings
  • “These are exceptional properties, offering high levels of service and quality of facility to match”
    • Hotel Bennett
    • The Ocean Room
• Recommended
  • “These are excellent properties with consistently good service and facilities”
    • Grill 225
    • Market Pavilion Hotel
