Mount Pleasant Towne Centre Shares May Event Lineup

Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is ready to welcome the summer season with a calendar full of community favorite events, as well as new additions to the lineup this May. Start off the month with the first-ever Play Dayz at The Oaks, a signature program series with themed activities for kids ages 10 and under. Fitness enthusiasts are in for a treat because the SWEAT Fitness Series with Athleta is back every Wednesday. After sweating it out at The Oaks, return the next evening for Live Under The Oaks, a free concert series featuring the best in local talent every Thursday night in May. The community favorite yappy hour, Paws on the Patio, is also back again this season, inviting guests and their four-legged friends to an evening full of delicious sips, bites and puppy love.

Play Dayz

Tuesday, May 3rd from 10 am to noon at The Oaks, across from Barnes & Noble

Looking for a place to spend quality time with your kiddos? Kicking off on May 3 with a very special Moms & Music theme, children ages 10 and under and their families are invited to a morning full of arts and crafts, music classes hosted by Bach to Rock, special treats, games and more. Play Dayz continues on the first Tuesday of every month and all registered kiddos who join the fun will receive a special treat during their birthday month from Sweet Julep’s, a delicious Towne Centre candy and gift store. SWEAT Fitness Series with Athleta

Every Wednesday of the month on May 4, 11, 18 and 25 from 6 – 7 p.m. at The Oaks

Mark your calendars because Mount Pleasant Towne Centre has again partnered with Athleta for the annual SWEAT Fitness Series. Every Wednesday in May, the community can enjoy free workout classes at The Oaks. All attendees will receive a coupon for 20% off one item at the Towne Centre Athleta store, a special gift from Towne Centre and each week, one lucky winner will receive a $50 Athleta appreciation card. Kicking off the May lineup is local instructor Jenn Simpson from Barre Code, followed by Sarah Lieb from LowCountry Yoga, Chad Hitchcock from Camp Gladiator and Erin DiNicola from LowCountry Yoga. Live Under The Oaks

Every Thursday of the month on May 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 6 – 8 p.m. at The Oaks

Picture this: Summer nights filled with live music, incredible sips and bites and moments with friends and family. Join Mount Pleasant Towne Centre for Live Under The Oaks, the free outdoor concert series sponsored by Roper St. Francis Healthcare every Thursday in May. The event will be emceed by Johnny O’ of 95SX, with a jam-packed lineup of artists featuring Lyn Avenue, iLLA ZiLLA, Gritty Flyright with special guests Jamal Hall & Noah Shue and the Steady Hand String Band. Grab take-out from your favorite Towne Centre restaurant or visit the weekly food truck, with a rotating lineup of offerings including Zimos Gyros, & Lobster and Sweetgrass Foodz. Paws on the Patio

May 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Burtons Grill + Bar

The community favorite yappy hour is back again! On May 12, Charleston Animal Society, Burtons Grill + Bar and Mount Pleasant Towne Centre have once again partnered to host Paws on The Patio. A $10 non-refundable donation is required to hold your space at the event, with proceeds directly benefiting Charleston Animal Society’s animals in need. For an additional $20 per person, guests can enjoy two drink tickets and tasty Burtons Grill + Bar appetizers. Plus, every Fido will receive their own party favor courtesy of Hairy Winston Pet Boutique! The event will continue on the second Thursday of the month in September, October and November.
