Gibbes Museum of Art Announces Return of the Gibbes on the Street Fair During Inaugural Art Charleston Festival
Art Charleston will be a weeklong celebration inspired by the museum’s major spring exhibition, Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice, on display at the Gibbes through August 7th, 2022. In addition to Gibbes on the Street, the Amy P. Coy Forum, Art of Design, and Soirée will anchor the week’s activities. “The events that make up Art Charleston will all celebrate creative freedom,” said Angela Mack, executive director of the Gibbes Museum of Art. “At this street party, we will celebrate the city’s extraordinary culinary scene and the artists behind the remarkable food in Charleston.
