Steeplechase of Charleston Partners with Hendrick Lexus of Charleston for Second Year

Hendrick Lexus of Charleston has signed on as the presenting sponsor for Steeplechase of Charleston for the next two years after a successful fall 2021 event. Steeplechase of Charleston is the premiere horserace of the fall season and the last event of the Charleston event season.

The Post and Courier hosts Steeplechase of Charleston a world-class horse racing event, annually as the last National Steeplechase Association’s sanctioned horse race of the season, where multiple coveted titles are on the line. Several high-stakes horse races will run at the Stono Ferry Racetrack on Sunday, November 13, 2022. The Charleston tradition began in 1792 and has been ushered into a modern era under its new ownership.

When the horse races are not taking place, guests can take advantage of the new Merchant Square, filled with the best of local artisans and businesses selling their products. Guests can enjoy live music and other stage entertainment including fashion contests. There will be several family-friendly events taking place in the Family Fun Zone, as tickets for children 12 and under are free. Tailgate spots are open for purchase so you can bring a spread to enjoy an afternoon of fun with your friends or family.

Executive Director of Steeplechase of Charleston, Chris Zoeller said, “We are thrilled to have Lexus back as a presenting sponsor. Their partnership elevates the guest experience at Steeplechase, especially in the Lexus VIP Lounge we introduced last year to our attendees.”

“Events are so important because it gives us an opportunity to work with the community, get outside of the dealership and have fun.” Steve Strickland, the executive general manager of Hendrick Lexus of Charleston for the past 25 years continues, “Working with The Post and Courier this past year at Steeplechase, everyone dressing up, seeing the horses and just having fun was all so awesome. We sold several cars the next week to customers who were at the event that sparked their interest.”

Tickets for Steeplechase of Charleston go on sale Friday, May 6, 2022 and will be sold until the event or when they sell out.
