Lime, City of Charleston, and MUSC Health Launch New E-Bike Sharing Program

On Friday, May 6th, Lime, a transportation company specializing in electric vehicles, launched a new e-bike sharing program in Charleston with support from the City and the Medical University of South Carolina’s health system.

Lime is deploying a fleet of more than 200 of its new Gen4 e-bike, which comes equipped with a swappable, interchangeable battery. The launch makes Charleston one of the only cities in North America to have a fleet of Gen4 e-bikes on the streets, joining major cities like San Diego and Washington, DC. Lime will also bring Lime Access, its global equity program, to Charleston to provide 70% discounted rides to eligible residents.

We are proud to be bringing our worldwide equity program we call Lime Access to Charleston as well, which provides 70% discounts to eligible residents to ensure our electric vehicles are available to all.
