Sullivan’s Fish Camp to Open Next Week
Basic Projects today announced the official opening of Sullivan’s Fish Camp will take place on Tuesday, May 17 at 2019 Middle Street on Sullivan’s Island. Designed to feel like an old-school fish camp, Basic Projects says Sullivan’s will be “a casual and family-friendly neighborhood spot serving day-boat seafood, cold drinks, and frozen cocktails.”
Executive Chef Davis Hood’s menu, which will focus on local fisherman and farmers, will feature fish camp classics like fried seafood baskets, crudos, oysters, seafood towers, and lobster rolls. The dessert menu features soft serve ice cream. Accompanying the menu is a long list of cold drinks and beach-inspired cocktails from Bar Manager Jordon Moton.
The Basic Projects team, led by Co-Founder and Creative Director Kate Towill, restored the iconic Sullivan’s Seafood Restaurant, a family-run institution that first opened in 1988, just before Hurricane Hugo hit and nearly destroyed the restaurant.
Beginning on May 17th, Sullivan’s will be open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm; lunch from 11 am – 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays; and closed on Mondays. Lunch during the rest of the week will launch soon. Reservations can be made by visiting Resy. Walk-ins are also welcome.
