B.R. Distilling Company Brings Nationally Recognized Whiskey Brands To The Palmetto State

B.R. Distilling Company, Memphis’ oldest licensed distillery recently announced expanded distribution across South Carolina through Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC). The company has expanded rapidly across the country, scaling its distribution across several new states including Kentucky earlier this year and now South Carolina. Whiskey connoisseurs, collectors, and everyday drinkers alike can now enjoy a range of offerings from the craft whiskey company that is best known for its two signature, award-winning brands: Blue Note and Riverset. 

Blue Note Bourbon (right) is a classic, full-bodied straight bourbon whiskey offered in three different expressions, its flagship product is Blue Note Juke Joint (MSRP $34.99), Blue Note Uncut (MSRP $44.99) and Blue Note Crossroads (MSRP $44.99). Riverset was created to be a unique rye whiskey with delicate hints of cinnamon apple and vanilla. Riverset is offered in three different expressions, Riverset Small Batch Rye (MSRP $34.99), Riverset Single Barrel Rye (MSRP $44.99) and Riverset Rum (MSRP $39.99). All Blue Note and Riverset products are available now in liquor stores across the state.

Distilling Company was founded in 2013 and since its change of ownership and direction in 2017, the company has quickly established itself as an emerging, disruptive force in the spirits industry. In a matter of years, the company has acquired distribution across sixteen states, including recent expansions into the major whiskey markets of Florida, New York, and Texas with more on the horizon. The company has already earned numerous awards and medals in competitions, including the North American Bourbon and Whiskey Competition, John Barleycorn Awards, The Fifty Best Rye Whiskey, The Fifty Best Bourbon, the New York International Spirits Competition and going 5 for 5 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2021. Closing out 2021, the Blue Note brand received some major honors, including Wine Enthusiast awarding Blue Note Juke Joint 93 points, naming it a “Best Buy” and “Top 100 Spirits of 2021,” specifically “Top 13 Best Bourbons of 2021.” Whisky Advocate rated Blue Note 17 Year 93 points and Blue Note Crossroads 89 points and one of the year’s “Best Values.” Fred Minnick’s Top 100 American Whiskeys of 2021 ranked Blue Note 17 Year 16 out of 100. Most recently the brand scored double Gold on its core products at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
