College of Charleston Offers STEM 360 Summer Program to High School Students
The School of Sciences and Mathematics at the College of Charleston is known for its commitment to the study of and pursuit of new knowledge in the sciences and mathematics. And – with its STEM 360 Pre-College Summer Program – it is carrying this tradition to high school students.
Taught by the distinguished CofC faculty in state-of-the-art facilities, the STEM 360 Pre-College Summer Program takes high school students on a journey through several instructional and hands on training activities on a variety of STEM topics, including biology, marine biology, chemistry, environmental geosciences, engineering and computer programming, among others.
During the five-day event (July 18–22, 2022), participants will sample a broad range of STEM disciplines, gaining a preview of what it would be like to study these majors in college. Activities may also include tours of companies or fieldwork at the Stono Preserve and Grice Marine Lab.
Sessions will be held Monday, July 18–Friday, July 22, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The registration fee is $300. All rising 10th, 11th and 12th graders are welcome to register for the program.
