Scottish Society of Charleston to Host Two Worlds Celtic Music Concert on May 21st
On Saturday, May 21st, the Scottish Society of Charleston will host the “Two Worlds” Concert, an evening of Celtic music featuring the Charleston Pipe Band and special guest performers. The event will run from 4 pm to 6 pm at the North Charleston United Methodist Church (1125 East Montague Avenue).
Event organizers says the focus of the concert will be on all the dualities of the piping world: formal vs. informal, pipes vs. drums, Scottish vs. Irish styles, Great Pipes vs. smallpipes (or Uilleann pipes), and music vs. dance. The event will be lead by Pipe Major JD Ingraham and guest performer Jeff Cullen of the Stand Easy band.
There will also be an after party at Madra Rua in Park Circle with beer specials for ticketed guests. For more information and/or to purchase tickets, click here.
