Billie Eilish and Carly Rae Jepsen Fall Off The Stage at Coachella

Published

“Carly Rae Jepsen lost her footing onstage” reported the Insider after millions have witnessed the incident. The performer fell off the stage at Coachella, which as sources say “resulted in an audible thump.” Japsen was in the middle of performing “Boy Problems”  – a single from 2015, when she took the plunge down a small flight of stairs, which were ironically placed there (on the stage) for her performance.
Similarly,  20-year-old artist Billie Eillish fell as she was performing her hit, “Getting Older”. Her mishap took place during the second weekend of the festival.
Both performers are doing okay
Insider reports that Jepsen recovered quickly, however, the “interruption” could not be missed by the crowd. “The accident was also captured in YouTube’s livestream of the event. Footage shows Jepsen suddenly sitting on the stairs before she was pulled back to her feet by one of her backup dancers.” noted Insider’s Callie Ahlgrim.
Eilish  had the following to say about her incident, “Ouch! You guys…It was dark, I tripped… I’m good”. The singer approached the incident with humor and went on with the performance without sustaining any major injuries. Performers, and musicians in particular, are facing often overlooked hazards that simply come with the territory. From falls to hearing loss and strained muscles, it seems to be part of the deal. According to experts at https://www.jjsjustice.com/, in some cases, these kinds of work related injuries can and should be compensated for, which is why seeking advice from legal professionals is advised.

The most common injury faced by performing artists

It goes without saying that health challenges and/or injuries  can severely impact one’s quality of life. Tinnitus is one such condition that can take a toll on someone who is in the music industry. What makes the matter worse is that “tinnitus creates an additional set of challenges that the average (non-musician) tinnitus sufferer doesn’t experience.” according to Glenn Schweitzer of Healthy Hearing. Schweitzer goes on to add, “Unfortunately, very few musicians actually talk about their tinnitus because they believe that doing so puts their reputation at risk. And so they suffer in isolation, hiding their pain from the world. It doesn’t help that doctors sometimes dismiss tinnitus, not taking it seriously.”
Being a rock star sure is a blast. But, bear in mind, it takes years and years of practice, dedication, and sweat. And like any job, this too has its advantages and disadvantages. Yes, luxury and VIP treatment are included in the package, but there’s also a proverbial price to pay. Taking adequate safety measures during practices, rehearsal, and performances matters a great deal, but the reality is, “no pain, no gain”. Sprained ankles, blistered fingers, hearing loss, long-term hoarseness or voice loss are only a few common predicaments that singers and musicians know to anticipate. However, with proper care and adequate safety measures, they too can mitigate the effects and successfully continue on their road of stardom.
