“Quintin’s Close-Ups” Celebrates a Decade of Local Interviews
Local media personality Quintin Washington is today celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Quintin’s Close-Ups, a weekly interview web show available on YouTube.
Since 2012, Washington has have taped over 2,000 episodes and has interviewed plenty of big names including presidential candidates; U.S. Congress members Jim Clyburn, Nancy Mace, and Joe Cunningham; Gloria Gaynor; former U.S. Congressman Mark Sanford; Mayor John Tecklenburg; attorneys; chefs; musicians; media personalities; and many more.
Over the last decade, Quintin’s Close-Ups has been recognized on the floor of the United States Congress and by the South Carolina House of Representatives. In addition, Mayor John Tecklenburg in 2020 proclaimed October 13th as “Quintin Washington Day.”
Washington and Quintin’s Close-Ups have been featured locally on ABC News 4, Live 5 News, and News 2. His interviews – or clips from them – have appeared in the Charleston City Paper and on msnbc.com, Buzzfeed, Politico, FITSNews, and more.
Holy City Sinner is proud to share almost every episode and founder Christian Senger is honored to have been interviewed eight times by Washington.
