Upcoming Grand Bohemian Exhibition to Benefit Sober Living Homes

Published

on

The Grand Bohemian Hotel Gallery this weekend will host a solo exhibition showing Taylor Redler’s art and raising money for Oxford House, a local non-profit that Redler used to work for. While working with the organization, Redler helped opened eight sober living homes in Charleston.

The show will be interactive as all art will have a QR code leading to stories of what inspired each piece. Each piece relates to the triumphs and tribulations of recovery and healing through trauma. There will also be stories from residents in Oxford House underneath the art, talking about how the organization impacted their life.

Oxford House is one of the only not-for-profit options for sober living in South Carolina. Ten-percent of all sales will be donated directly to the non-profit’s re-entry fund which will aid those without funding get into houses by paying their first week’s rent. Oxford House’s rent does not exceed $500 a person and includes rent, utilities, and basic house needs like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. The Grand Bohemian Gallery will be matching Redler’s donations. You can learn more about Oxford House here.

The show begins this Saturday (May 28th) and runs from 3 pm to 7 pm. It returns on Sunday, May 29th from 11 am to 3 pm.
