Fledgling Moncks Corner Cat Café Launches Kickstarter

Published

on

Kate Laflin, a licensed veterinary technician, recently launched a Kickstarter campaign with the goal of securing enough funds to open a cat café in Moncks Corner. The business will be called Catnip & Coffee.

Cat cafés first appeared in Taiwan, and their popularity quickly spread around the world. There are a growing number of cat cafes in the United States, including one in downtown Charleston.

Once open, Catnip & Coffee will serve coffee, beer, and wine and will partner with the Berkeley Animal Center to provide a foster home for adoptable cats.

If you’re interested in participating in the café’s Kickstarter Campaign, click here. Depending on how much you contribute to the campaign, you could receive items like t-shirts, mugs, key chains, and more.
