Mount Pleasant Towne Centre to Host First-Ever Summer Block Party on June 18th
Mount Pleasant Towne Centre is thrilled to announce the first-ever SummerTowne Bash block party on Saturday, June 18th at 4 pm. Benefiting Make-A-Wish® South Carolina, the community is invited to enjoy a jam-packed evening featuring live performances, activities, games, contests and more. The event is free to attend, with registration fees required for various contests. All proceeds will be donated to Make-A-Wish South Carolina.
“There’s no better place to be in the summer than Mount Pleasant, and we can’t wait to host our first-ever block party to celebrate,” said Kathleen Herrmann, Marketing Director at Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. “Working alongside the South Carolina Federal Credit Union to put on an incredible event not only brings our community together, but also benefits our children in need. We constantly seek opportunities to give back in any way that we can and we are honored to show our support for Make-A-Wish South Carolina this year.”
The evening kicks off at 4 pm, with live performances from the best in local musical talent. IBEXX, a local band from Bach to Rock, will kick off the performances, followed by pop and country cover band, 40 Years Too Late, and then Isabella Ullo, a country singer-songwriter, as the headliner. For a $5 registration fee with 100% of proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish South Carolina, guests can also enjoy hot dog and pie eating contests, a kids talent contest and a dunk tank. Additionally, guests looking to bring home souvenirs can enjoy face painting by Faith, caricatures with Dawn and balloon animals and glitter tattoos with Carol.
A bouncy house, cyclone ride and viking axe throwing game will also be onsite. Sips and bites will be available for purchase from Burtons Grill + Bar, Zimos Gyros, Xperience Kulture, Mac Daddy, New Dog Hot Dogs, Holy City Popcorn, The Dessert Club and Holy City Homemade Italian Ice.
“We are incredibly grateful to our generous benefactors, and to all who donate their time, money and heart to make this event a success. By supporting SummerTowne Bash, attendees will create life-changing hope for brave South Carolina children with critical illnesses,” says Amanda Osborne, vice president of mission development for Make-A-Wish South Carolina.
In addition to SummerTowne Bash, Mount Pleasant Towne Centre hosts Play Dayz, a signature program series on the first Tuesday of each month inviting kids ages 10 and under to an exciting morning of free activities and fun at The Oaks.
