Grammy Award Winner Stephen Marley to Perform at Firefly Distillery

Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer Stephen Marley will perform at Firefly Distillery on Friday, July 1st, 2022 at 7 pm. He’ll be joined by special guest Kabaka Pyramid.

From his solo works to family collaborations and production credits, Stephen Marley’s music has earned him eight Grammy Awards. He is the second eldest son of reggae legend Bob Marley and Rita Marley, and was raised in Kingston, Jamaica.

“We’re excited to welcome reggae-great Stephen Marley to Charleston as part of his North American ‘Babylon by Bus’ tour,” said Ear For Music Owner Rob Lamble. “The son of legend Bob Marley and brother of Ziggy and Damian, Stephen is a highly-talented musician and eight-time Grammy award winner.”

Stephen has garnered recognition as a solo artist for his Grammy-winning albums Mind Control (dubbed “the best Marley album in a generation” by Entertainment Weekly), Mind Control Acoustic, and Revelation Part I: The Root of Life, while also receiving multiple Grammys as as a producer – most notably for Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley’s cross-over hit Welcome To Jamrock.

“It’s incredible to have Stephen Marley hit the Live At Firefly stage to kick off the holiday weekend here,” said Scott Newitt, co-owner of Firefly Distillery. “Listening to him play with a Firefly cocktail in hand and watching the sunset over the marsh is bound to be a really great experience.”
