Karen Hollings wins Democratic Primary for Charleston County Register of Deeds
Karen Hollings on Tuesday won the Democratic nomination for Charleston County Register of Deeds. She defeated the incumbent, Michael Miller.
A veteran of the office, Hollings has over 16 years of experience working for the register of deeds and 20+ years of public service.
“I’d like to thank the voters in the Democratic Primary for trusting me to fix the Register of Deeds office,” Hollings said. “The current situation in this office has put local families’ most important finances as risk. To get this turned around, it will take experience, energy, management skills, and determination. I believe I am the best candidate in the general election to accomplish this.”
The register of deeds is in charge of recording and filing all documents related to real estate and property.
