Post & Courier to Host “Pints & Politics” Event with New York Times Reporter Jonathan Martin
The Post & Courier will welcome New York Times reporter Jonathan Martin for an upcoming edition of their “Pints & Politics” series. The happy hour event will take place at Container Bar (2130 Mt Pleasant St., Charleston) on Thursday, June 23rd at 7:30 pm.
The series, which is free and open to the public, features “local figures in politics discussing issues with casual conversations and home-brewed beverages.” The Post and Courier reporters serve as moderators to guide the political discussions. Attendees are encouraged to submit their questions as well.
Martin is a national political correspondent for The New York Times and a political analyst for CNN. He joined the Times in 2013 after working as a senior political writer for POLITICO. His work has been featured in The New Republic, The Washington Post, and The Wall Street Journal, among others. A native of Arlington, Virginia, Martin is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College.
