North Charleston’s Starlight Motor Inn Being Reimagined

The Starlight Motor Inn, a historic, mid-century motel in North Charleston, is currently being reimagined and renovated by lifelong friends and professional road-trippers Ham Morrison and Walker Lamond, alongside management team Stay Duvet.

The team says they are taking inspiration from the independent spirit of America’s first roadside motels and the plan to blend “vintage style with contemporary conveniences and affordable rates.” The property will include 51 rooms, contact-less check-in, a restaurant, a cocktail lounge, a pool, a poolside bar, and the Starlight Village, a collection of restored two-bedroom cottages.
