Charleston County Updates Waterpark Schedules

Charleston County Parks today announced that due to increased lifeguard staffing, they are making several modifications to their operations at Splash Island and Splash Zone waterparks.

Splash Island will now be open on Sunday afternoons, and Splash Zone will be opening its Lazy River. Both parks will also be open on Monday, July 4th. You can see an updated waterpark operations schedule below:

• Splash Island Waterpark at Mount Pleasant Palmetto Islands County Park
  • Starting July 3rd, will now be open on Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm
  • Will be open Monday, July 4th from 10 am to 6 pm
  • Will continue to be open Wednesday through Saturdays this summer from 10 am to 6 pm
• Splash Zone Waterpark at James Island County Park:
  • Starting July 1st, the Lazy River will be open
  • Will be open Monday, July 4th from 10 am to 6 pm
  • Will continue to be open Wednesday through Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm and Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm

The Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark will continue their normal operations for Summer 2022 (open daily from 10 am to 6 pm).
