During the super-regional event, eight three-person national teams from North and South America vied head-to-head in timed completion to complete five specific tests over a five-hour period.
Each team dessert entry was judged by a panel of distinguished restaurant pastry chefs who served as jurors, evaluating each entry for presentation, taste balance and conformity.
Up next, the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie is widely regarded in the industry as the Olympics of the pastry world. The top three qualifying teams from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East are now set to compete in mid-January in France to determine gold, silver and bronze medal-winning teams.
