EO Charleston Inducts New President

EO Charleston, the Lowcountry’s local chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), an organization representing 16,500 entrepreneurs from more than 60 countries, announces a leadership change with the induction of its new chapter president, Jessica Munday (right), founder and CEO of Trio Solutions Inc. (TRIO) and co-founder of Cloud Nine Nonprofit Advisors.

Munday’s history with the organization is longstanding. She was a founding member in 2019 and the chapter’s first female member. In her new role, she will lead the local chapter in fulfilling EO’s purpose to help entrepreneurs unlock their full potential through transformational growth. Of EO’s nearly 200 globally established chapters, only 22% of all chapters are led by a female chapter president.

“Being entrusted by my peers to lead our chapter over the next two years is an incredible honor and privilege,” says Munday. “I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities EO has afforded me, and I look forward to supporting our members, strategic partners and the local entrepreneurial community as we learn, grow and thrive together.”

Recently, Munday was selected as one of only 30 leaders from the U.S. East Region and Canada to attend the 2022 Regional Leadership Academy in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec. She succeeds former chapter president Brannon Poe, a fellow EO Charleston founding member and co-founder and president of Poe Group Advisors. The two attended the EO President’s Training in the Dominican Republic earlier this year.

“I am confident that our chapter will reach new heights and represent Charleston in the best possible way within our global entrepreneur community under Jessica’s leadership,” says Poe. “Jessica’s drive and dedication to her community and entrepreneurs in general inspire all those around her.”

Munday has led a career in the marketing communications field for more than 25 years. Prior to starting her entrepreneurial journey in 2001, she worked at the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Virginia following the completion of her master’s in healthcare administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Asheville and attended the University of South Carolina for undergraduate. A native of Asheville, NC, Munday lives on Johns Island with her husband and their three children.

Along with Munday, EO Charleston is led by board members Brannon Poe, Matthew Sullivan of BES Cleaning Services, Ben-Jamin Toy of On Purpose Adventures, Konrad Nierwinksi of Creative Works, John LaVerne of Bulldog Tours, Haig Berberian of Specialty Food Solutions, Brian Craddock of IFS Group, Jayson Tompkins of Print Your Cause, Edwin Lap of Aolani Charters and Edward Mungo of Mungo Construction.

EO Charleston is the only chapter of the global organization in South Carolina. Business owners who have reached at least $1 million in revenue and are majority owners may qualify for membership. Local entrepreneurs must complete an application and series of interviews to be selected for membership.
