Rep. Mace Releases Statement on Right to Contraception Act

“South Carolina is banning almost all (abortion) exceptions for women including who’ve been raped and victims of incest. Today I voted to protect access to contraceptives, to protect every woman in South Carolina. Not only do different contraceptives prevent pregnancies, but some are also needed in order to maintain a healthy and well-functioning body.”
BACKGROUND:
This bill will ensure people have access to contraceptives and establish the right for healthcare providers to provide contraceptives and information about contraceptives.
