Local Couple Transforms the iPhone Into a Cookbook

Charlestonians Natalie Tannous and Brent McCarthy created Myka, an AI-powered recipe builder app that converts your speech into a cookbook on your iPhone. It is now available to download in the Apple App Store.

The app was inspired by travel…and the inability to do so during the global pandemic. After the Tannous and McCarthy’s globetrotting adventures were put on pause, the duo tried to recreate some of their favorite international dishes, but they struggled to document recipes.

This led them to wonder, “what if there was a way to spell the end of greasy phones, illegible notes, memory dependence and endless scrolling back and forth between an ingredient list and steps?’

And with that, Myka was born. Their voice-enabled recipe builder makes it easier for you to experiment with, record, and edit your own recipes. You can download the app here and learn more in the video below or at souschefmyka.com.
