RiverDogs to Host Jewish Heritage Night on August 14th
On August 14th, at 5 pm, the Jewish community of Charleston will gather together at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park to watch the Charleston RiverDogs in the spirit of community and a shared appreciation of RiverDogs baseball.
Attendees will receive information about local Jewish community organizations, enjoy the availability of kosher hot dogs, and experience a great baseball game. This year, Charleston Jewish Federation welcomes many new community members who relocated to Charleston during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic.
“Our hope is that new community members will come out to the game and meet friends and representatives from each of the synagogues and Jewish organizations in the Charleston area,” said CJF’s Chief Impact Officer, Erin Boynton. “This event represents the formal kickoff of our Shalom Charleston welcome initiative.” Like Charleston’s broader population, Charleston’s Jewish community has seen tremendous growth over the past several years.
Tickets in the block of seats reserved for this event are available through the Charleston RiverDogs here.
