Charleston Opera Theater to Present Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” in October

Published

on

Charleston Opera Theater is presenting Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni in full production at the College of Charleston Sottile Theatre in October.

Stage Director John de los Santos leads a cast of international and national professionals with orchestra and chorus in a “Dia de los Muertos” inspired production of Don Giovanni, which blurs the lines between comedy and the macabre, realism and the supernatural. Music Director Wojciech Milewski conducts this production for Charleston Opera Theater representing its first fully-realized and fully-staged acoustic opera production.

The show can be seen on both Thursday, October 20th and Saturday, October 22nd at 8 pm. The October 20th performance is black tie optional, and patrons are encouraged to wear “Day of the Dead” themed costumes and attire at either of these immersive performances.

More information and full cast information is available at www.charlestonoperatheater.org. Tickets are on sale now and are available at the website or at The George Street Box Office at the College of Charleston.
