Charleston Parks Conservancy Announces Fall Events

Published

on

The Charleston Parks Conservancy is hosting a number of events this fall that encourages people to connect with their parks through art, education, and health and wellness. Working with several community partners and like-minded organizations, the Conservancy is encouraging everyone to get outside and enjoy Charleston’s city parks.

“The core mission of the Charleston Parks Conservancy is connecting people to their parks,” said Natalie Jones, director of programs. “We’ve seen firsthand the impact parks and green spaces have on our communities and individuals. They are places to learn, connect, relax and create. That’s why we’re providing a robust calendar of events for the community this fall. We want everyone to experience all that our Charleston parks have to offer.”

The fall event series includes:

  • Herbal Walks in the Park are noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 8, Oct. 13 and Nov. 10 at Hampton Park. Yahola Herbal School, a local company focused on educating the community on benefits and uses of native plants, will lead this free tour
