Harold’s Cabin Announces Multiple Holiday Pop-Ups and “Rooftop Igloo”

Harold’s Cabin, the cozy, downtown cocktail bar, is launching the first iteration of its holiday pop-ups beginning on October 4th. The eclectic cocktail bar will undergo a holiday-themed transformation for both Halloween and Christmas celebrations this year.

Designer Brittany Brandt will fill the space with floor-to-ceiling holiday garb, transforming the upstairs at Harold’s Cabin into a holiday destination.

“We really wanted to transform the space in such a way that guests have never experienced,” said John Schumacher, owner of Harold’s Cabin, “When guests go upstairs, we hope they feel as if they’ve been transported to a different world, so to speak. And of course, we hope they’ll continue coming back for the lineup of fun events we have planned for the next couple of months.”

The pop-ups will include holiday décor and themed festivities like costume parties and Ugly Christmas Sweater events. Plus, Harold’s Cabin executive chef Taylor Hodgkins and bar manager Michael DeNicola have holiday-inspired menus in the works. Guests can expect items like Mulled Wine, Hot Toddies, 6-month and 1-year house-fermented Egg Nog, Mummy Dogs, Tinsel Treats, housemade seasonal Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches with locally made Frigid Bits Ice Cream, and more.

In November, Harold’s Cabin rooftop will add a Private Igloo Package for parties of up to six to enjoy the Westside skyline while enjoying curated food and beverage selections.

“It’s as if Molly’s Irish Pub in New York, the Hocus Pocus sisters, and Santa Claus and his whole gang embarked on a badass quest to bring Charlestonians a 3-month-long holiday soirée they didn’t even know they needed,” said Drew Childers, partner of Harold’s Cabin.

The pop-ups will be exclusively held upstairs and on the rooftop. A full events schedule and themed menus will be announced in the coming weeks. The Halloween pop-up will begin on October 4th, 2022, followed by the Christmas pop-up on November 15th (it will run until early January 2023).
