The Black Food Truck Festival will return this fall to celebrate Black businesses and culture with food, music, and family friendly activities and entertainment. Tickets are on sale now for the two-day festival being held on November 19th and 20th at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson.

The spring version of the festival drew 15,000 people from all around the Carolinas and generated more than $1 million for Black-owned businesses in the Charleston region. You can read the full economic impact report online here.

In addition to highlighting the region’s food truck cuisine, the semi-annual Black Food Truck Festival has a greater mission of making an economic and social impact on the community by showcasing and investing in Black-owned businesses.

Festival founder Marcus Hammond said food truck participants at the spring festival reported their biggest day of sales to date.

“We helped them generate awareness and future business,” Hammond said. “That’s what this festival is all about. Yes, we’re having a fun event, but we’re also elevating our local businesses and our community.”

Food trucks returning this year’s festival are:

  • Peace of Soul

  • Mr. B’s

  • Keoni’s

  • Nothin’ But Chicken

Food trucks making their debut at the festival are:

  • Fab Sliders

  • Mother Smokin’ Good

  • Heavenly Cheesecake

The entertainment lineup for Saturday includes The Greg Loney Experience, Trap Jazz All Stars, and Red Sample Band. Performing on Sunday are Psycodelics, Black Noyze, and Live in the Flesh Experience. On Sunday night, musical artists La’Faye & the Fellas and The MVP Band will perform for the festival finale.

Festival times are 11:30 am to 6 pm for general admission, and 10:30 am to 6 pm for VIP. The Exchange Park Fairgrounds is located at 9850 Highway 78 in Ladson.
