Respected Defense Attorney Joseph Thoensen joins Poulin | Willey | Anastopoulo
Poulin | Willey | Anastopoulo [d.b.a Anastopoulo Law Firm] continues to add to its deep bench with the addition of Joseph Thoensen, who joins the team having spent 15 years at Richardson Plowden & Robinson, P.A. where he was a Shareholder. Thoensen is leaving the world of insurance and corporate defense to join Poulin | Willey’s expanding litigation team in Columbia, South Carolina.
After receiving his J.D. from The University of Georgia in 2007, Thoensen joined RP and during that time, he defended hundreds of asbestos exposure claims throughout South Carolina on behalf of multiple product manufacturers. He was named a Rising Star from 2013-2018 by South Carolina Super Lawyers for general litigation.
“We are excited to have Joe join our team and cannot wait to see the value his experience on the other side will deliver for our clients,” said Roy T. Willey, IV, partner and trial lawyer at PWA, “Joe is well respected by those he worked with in the defense bar and those of us he worked against in the plaintiffs’ bar, we are thrilled he has decided to use his talents to help the injured during the next phase of his already very successful career.”
The addition of Thoensen comes on the heels of the firm’s acquisition of The Matt Burgess Law Firm in Rock Hill and a new office opening in Lexington, South Carolina. The firm now has 10 brick and mortar locations across the Carolinas, and has cases active all across the country.
